Description of Position
This is a professional nursing position that requires thorough knowledge of commonly used psychotropic and health maintenance medications, an understanding of the special medical needs of adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance abuse conditions or cognitive disabilities who may have co-occurring substance use disorders, physical disabilities, debilitating medical conditions, developmental disabilities, or infectious diseases. Must have the ability to function independently and as part of a team in carrying out the treatment plans and physicians’ orders in community settings.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
Professional Credentials/Certifications
- Delaware Registered Nursing License in good standing or Compact License
Position Requirements
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Mandt
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with at least 3 years minimum continuous driving experience with no serious traffic infractions.
